Your first Sunday

Your first Sunday, step by step

9:45am · Park and come in. Park in the front lot off Zane Ave, on the east side of Edinbrook Elementary, and come in the front door. Look for the flags. If you planned your visit, your parking spot is up front and a greeter is waiting for you.
9:45am · Check in your kids. Kids check-in opens at 9:45. There are two classrooms, birth–preschool and kindergarten–5th grade. We ask about food allergies and print them on your child’s name tag.
Before 10 · Grab a coffee. The cafe opens at 9:45, so there’s time for coffee and a hello before we start.
10:00am · Worship together. We usually sing three songs, a mix of current worship music and updated hymns.
After the songs · Hear the message. The message runs about 30–35 minutes. It’s rooted in Scripture and made practical for everyday life. Communion is shared on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, with a gluten-free option.
11:15am · Wrap up. We usually finish around 11:15. Stick around to meet the pastor, or pick up your kids and head home.

Good to know

What to wear. Most of us dress casually. Even our pastor usually wears jeans.
Accessibility. Edinbrook Elementary is wheelchair accessible.
Giving. If you’d like to give, there’s a red box near the gym door, or you can give online.

FAQs

Do I have to plan my visit before I come?

No. You’re welcome any Sunday at 10am. Planning your visit just helps us get ready for you, with a parking spot up front, a greeter at the door, help checking in your kids, a coffee and an introduction to our pastor.

What time should I arrive on my first Sunday?

Around 9:45, when the cafe and kids check-in open. That gives you time to park, check in your kids and grab a coffee before we start at 10.

Can I pre-register my kids?

Yes. If you have kids in 5th grade or under, check “I’d like to pre-register my kid(s)” on the form. Registering ahead makes check-in quicker on Sunday morning.

Can my child bring a snack, and what about food allergies?

Because of allergies, we ask that no outside food or drinks come into the kids’ classrooms. The one exception is a water bottle labeled with your child’s name. When you check a child in for the first time, we ask about allergies and print them on their name tag for every teacher to see.

How long is the service?

About an hour and fifteen minutes. We start at 10:00 and usually wrap up around 11:15.

Can I meet someone before Sunday?

Yes. Get coffee with one of our leaders first if that would make your first visit easier.
